I tried myspace. It sucked. Anyways, I wish I was in Torino...and I wish it was during feburary vacation...but it's not. Life sucks. Well, for those who don't watch but still want to know what's going on...this is an update especially for you.
4:48 Women's Hockey: USA defeated the Switz a couple of hours ago. Close game but that's just because the Switz had a killer goalie. That girl has skills. Right now, Canada is OWNING Italy. Boy do they suck. 16:0. Week defense and they skate slow. Hmm. I say it's gonna be USA vs. Canada at the end, just like last time. Hockey isn't that bad...
5:17 Men's Nordic Combined: and the winner is...GEORG HETTICH of GERMANY! what a surprise. That was an intense race...INTENSE. Norway won bronze by .1 of a second. They were all doing splits and stuff to get their foot over the finish line. Wow. I bet 4th place winner is pissed. USA lost badly. Overall, very good race.

8:12 Women's Freestyle Skiing: Hannah Kearney didn't make it to the finals! Poor girl was crying. She's the USA World Champoin btw. Forget what I said about Americans sucking during the qualifications lol. The USA team was wearing the Tommy Hilfiger sign on their clothes and I thought that was a flag for another country. edit:// 9:50 JENIFFER HEIL WINS FOR CANADA! Man, I was screaming. Intense stuff at the end. Great turns and speed. Oh well Kari Traa, you won bronze last time. Second isn't too bad.
12:37 Recap Chad Hedrick won Gold for USA at 5000m Speed Skating last night in a suprising and GREAT win. He beat second place winner by 2 seconds or so, which is like WOAH. USA is currently second place for total number of medals and first place for total number of gold medals. Gotta step it up, Norway is doing awesome. USA won first and second place for Men's halfpipe today. Shaun White won first, not a surprise since he owned the qualifications.
12:47 Women's Hockey: Canada just beat Russia...BADLY. It was like 12:0 or something. Those Russians are agressive. The referee had to have a talk with the teams because they were pushing, shoving, and creating all these fouls. I'm not even gonna bother with hockey anymore til the finals because we all know Canada is gonna beat everyone up til then.
4:52 Men's 30 km Pursuit Cross Country Skiing: WOAH. Frode Estil got silver!!! Now THAT'S a comeback! He fell at the start of the race and ended up in last place but he pulled in through at the VERY end. Gotta give those Norwegians props. All the skiiers were sooo tired at the end they were falling all over the place, out of breath.
5:00 Men's Single Luge: Armin Zoeggeler, not surpisingly, won gold for Italy in Men's Single Luge a while ago. USA was close for 3rd though. Too bad they didn't make it.
5:01 Sad News: MICHELLE KWAN IS OUT OF THE GAMES. Emily Hughes will be taking her place.
11:59 Recap: Last night NBC finally showed how Korea won 1st and 2nd for the Speed Skating Short Track. I can't believe Apollo Anton Ohno got DQed in the semifinal rounds. He should've played it conservative but he accidentally touched someone's skates while trying to do an outer pass, I think it was Li Ye, so then he tripped and touched the blockers which got him DQed.
4:46 Women's Single Luge: Man, Samantha Retrosi was so close to 3rd place but she COMPLETELY wiped out on her third run at the track. She was too high, g-force took control, and she just came crashing. She was motionless when her sled finally stopped moving. The position of her arm didn't look so nice either. People got teary but she's okay. Too bad she's not getting a medal and that was her only competition.
7:33 Sad News: Retrosi had a concussion and is suffering from a minor case of memory lose. That was a bad crash alright.
3:55 Women's Halfpipe: Hannah Teter won gold for USA and Gretchen Bleiler got silver. Disappointed that USA didn't sweep the podium though. If only Kelly Clark didn't fall! She had the moves to get gold but luck wasn't with her and she fell near the end of the pipe.
4:00 Women's Hockey: OMGOSH FINLAND IS BEATING THE USA. This CANNOT happen! 2-3 right now and it's getting so aggressive. There's so many penalties and power plays. Finland has a very good defense and I think the USA is getting annoyed because there's like no open spaces to hit the puck. The women are literally ramming into each other and hitting each other. Some Findland chick just hit an American on the head. I think it was an accident but still....wow edit://4:14 WOOOWEEEE! KATIE KING HITS AND SHE SCORES! It's a tie!!! edit://4:34 6-3 We're SAFE! Three goals in less than two minutes. Now THAT'S the USA. edit:// 4:45 Another goal. No more hockey updates for now. We definetly won but that sure gave me a scare. Finland lost all their energy and now they have nothing to work with.
